Bitcoin inched upward today, as an uncertain market held its breath and waits to see which way momentum breaks after this week’s strong run-up. At mid-morning, bitcoin was just under the $8,100 mark, or about a one percent gain in the last 24 hours.

The rest of the market was mostly cautious, with most cryptos within a one percent gain/loss range on the day. The outliers were Stellar, still benefitting from a new payments platform alliance, and IOTA, up more than six percent on news of its partnership with the Audi Think Tank, a route to learn how automakers approach innovation and development. IOTA will focus on incorporating its Tangle into a new mobility solution backed by Audi.
